On the first Sunday of January 2009 a group of people gathered in Farmville to worship God, hear the Word, fellowship and dream together about a new church family. On that cold Sunday in January, Generations Church was born and shortly after that we began weekly services.
The seed of Generations Church began when Pastor Stephen Willis of Lynchburg First Church of the Nazarene met with Pastor Paul Willis and God began directing their steps toward establishing a new church family in Farmville. Pastor Paul moved from Raleigh, NC to Farmville with a vision for Generations Church as a community that Connects to God, Connects to God’s People, and Connects to God’s Work.
Generations Church is made up of men, women, youth, and children that desire to honestly, simply, and purposefully worship God and live out the great commission.
In 2011 Bethel Christian Fellowship and Generations Church came together to worship as one faith community. These are exciting times of growth and fellowship! In a time when division all too often happens, Generations Church is acting as the body of Christ, coming together to make something fresh and new!
