By attending the Connections Class you are signifying your interest in beginning a new relationship with the Generations Church family as a member. It is an exciting time and place in one’s faith-walk when they desire a deeper more fully committed relationship with Generations Church and the Church of the Nazarene.
The Connections Class is a two hour class held on Sunday afternoon, usually following the morning worship. There is only one requirement for attending the Connections Class, by the date of the class you need to have been attending Generations Church for two months. If you meet that requirement, you are qualified to attend Connections Class. By attending Connections Class you are not making the commitement to become a member (though you will have the option to become a member at the end of the class). Connections Class is an opportunity for you to explore memberships at Generations Church, to find out more about Generations Church and to ask any questions that you might have.
The goal of the Connections Class is to discuss these questions:
- What is a church?
- What are the purposes of the church?
- What are the benefits of being a member?
- What are the requirements for membership?
- What are the responsibilities of memberships
- What is the vision, purpose, and mission of Generations Church?
- How is the church organized?
- What are the basic doctrines of Generations Church?
- How can I get involved in ministry?
- What do I do once I become a member?
The Connections Class is offered once a quarter. You can register for the next Connections Class via the Connection Card in Sunday Worship (placed in the offering) or through the RSVP form below. The class convenes on Sunday afternoon at 12:30 pm and includes a light lunch in the fellowship hall.
